Synopsis: In 1890, London most famous detective Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) Dr. John Watson (Jude Law) were in running hard to prevent the murder of women by Lord Blackwood (Mark Strong), as he had killed other 5 young men too and that also in similar way. Murder was stopped and police at the scene and arrested Blackwood. After some months Watson was looking to marry Mary Morstan and was leaving 221B Baker Street. Blackwood was sentenced to death for the murder of 5 women and the attempt to murder on the 6^th one. He requested to see Sherlock Holmes for the last time and when Holmes meet him, Blackwood warned him 3 more deaths are going to happen and will cause changes in the world. Blackwood was eventually and was pronounced dead by Watson. After 3 days, Irene Adler a professional thief, visited Holmes and asked him to find a man named Luke Reordan. When Irene has gone, Holmes followed her and came to know that Irene is working for some man who was there in the carriage but was in the shadows and said that Reordan was the key to Blackwood’s plan. He also came to know that he was a professor. A police man Clarky came to Holmes and asked him to come with him immediately and when Holmes asked him the reason Clarky said that Blackwood has come back alive. On initial investigation it was found that Blackwood tomb was broken from inside and Reordan was found dead in that Coffin and a man who saw Blackwood creates public to panic. Following the investigation, Holmes and Watson went to Reordan homes and found that he was experimenting something to mix Science with Magic. Later they had a fight with Blackwood’s men. Later Holmes is taken to a Temple Four Orders, a secret Magical Organization. Sir Thomas Rotheram (Lord chief justice), Standish (US Ambassador) and Lord Coward (Home Secretary) asked Holmes to stop Blackwood. Sir Rotheram and Standish were later killed by Lord Blackwood aloowing Blackwood to control the Order. He lured Holmes to a warehouse where Irene was chained in Hooks. Holmes saved her but Watson sustained many injures. Lord Coward issued arrest warrant against Holmes. Holmes hides somewhere and understands the ritual and concludes that his next target his Parliament. When Holmes was taken into custody and was presented in front of Lord Coward, Holems lured him to tell his plan to kills others but later on he escapes from there. Holmes, Irene and Watson came to know that there is a machine below the Palace of Westminster which was designed to release cyanide gas into the chamber to kill the members and those who are Blackwood supporters will not die because he had secretly given them antidote. Blackwood walks into the Hall all will die who don’t support him. Holmes and Watson fight Blackwood’s men and Irene takes of Cyanide containers and escapes but Holmes followed her. Realizing that something has gone wrong, Blackwood went to check the things. He saw fights and run after Holmes. Holmes and Irene confronted each other and immediately fight broke between Homes and Blackwood. Holmes tricks Blackwood into the chains hanging over the Thames River and tells him that there was no magic from the very beginning and how he tricked everyone. After sometime Blackwood himself stuck into the chains and got himself hanged. Irene tells Holmes that she works for Professor James Moriarty, a person as intelligent as he is but he is more dangerous than you. As Watson was moving out of 221B baker street, Policemen named Clarky has informed Holmes that a policeman has been found dead near that Blackwood machine and he has taken out a key component from that machine when Holmes was taking to Irene. Holmes takes this case.

Review: It’s a Mystery movie full of action. Performance of Robert Downey Junior was very Strong and effective. Jude Law performance was also good making the performance of both of them very emphatic. New look of Sherlock Holmes was very attractive. Mark Strong performance was also quite convincing one. Background score of the movie was excellent. It is a very good movie to watch for which is full of action, mystery and thriller.
