Name: The Perfect Storm

Synopsis: A boat used for fish catching as their profession named Andrea Gail after having a low and ineffective catch of fishes came to the ports of Gloucester, Massachusetts. Almost all the crew members of Andrea Gail are money broken and desperate need of that. Seeing this, Captain Billy Tyne (George Clooney) convinces his crew to go on for one more round of fish catching and being broken for money, they all have accepted for the same. This time to catch more fishes the crew moves ahead from their normal grounds but thunderstorms starts forming behind them. The crew of Andrea Gail straight to Flemish Cap and there starts catching more fishes. Soon after catching too much of fish and because of the height of their fishing expedition the ice machine breaks but as they have caught so much of fish the only way the captain seems to see is that head back to shore as quickly as possible. Meanwhile on other side the thunderstorm was becoming worse and worse. After debating with the crew, they all decided to move through the building storm rather than to wait it out.

As they move back to Gloucester port the storm was becoming even worse than before. Captain Linda Greenlaw (Mastrantonio) of Hannah Boden was trying her level best get the message of forming hurricane from thunderstorms to crew of Andrea Gail but she was unsuccessful every time. Soon Andrea Gail antenna broke down and from that point they stop receiving messages. Their at this point whole of the crew was fully confident that they will move ahead from this thunderstorm. Here Captain Linda called this a Mayday and alerting national cost guards and telling them the whole problem. An air National Guard responds to this mayday and sends a helicopter for the rescue but after a lot of rescuing of the other ships they were unable to refuel in the midair for the pursing the rescue any further due to bad weather the helicopter crew due to crashing of it jumps from the helicopter and later on rescued by the coast guard ship.

On other side to bad weather due to thunderstorm, Andrea Gail starts encountering all the problems. Deck was being to crash because of the repeated waves from the ocean, their stabilizer was broken and two of their men were thrown overboard by the waves. A rogue starts beginning to appear. Billy tells one of his crewmen named Bobby (Mark Wahlberg) to ride the wave with full force as they think they might able to do so but the wave stars growing bigger and the boat capsizes. As the boat was going down and rest of the crew being trapped in the boat, Billy decided to remain in the boat too as the captain of the ship but booby manages to move towards the surface of the ocean watching the boat, crew and bobby going down. But Bobby was not wearing any life jacket and as the weather was worse due to the thunderstorm, he didn’t have any chance of surviving this too. At Gloucester all the people were watching news regarding any information regarding their loved ones but there were no survivors of Andrea Gail crew.

Linda was at the memorial for all the people who have lost their lives in this hurricane especially for Andrea Gail crew followed by Christina, Ethel with tear in their eyes and consoling each other where Linda were telling in Billy’s view what swordboat captain is all about and how much he and his crew share for fish cashing.

Review: Really a great movie as a whole. Based on the true events the way movie is directed was really good. Director Wolfgang does shows in this movie not about this true incident but also how the problems is being faced by the boat crew who catching fishes for living. Performance of Clooney was good but performance of the Mark and rest of the crew were decent. Visual effects and sounds to be associated to the movie were great. In the movie it can be seen that the story is being filmed by Wolfgang pretty effectively but he failed to get the best out of the cast of the movie excluding Clooney. Overall a good movie to watch as this movie brings the actual problems the real life fish catchers faces in their life.

Ghajini

Name: Ghajini

Synopsis: Sunita (Jiah Khan) is a college going medical student who is researching for a projecting on human brains in her class. Suddenly he came across a case of Sanjay Singhania (Aamir Khan). Seeing this case she became curious to take up the case but was rejected by the teacher because it is a case of criminal investigation. She asked about the case by her teacher and came to know that Sanjay has a disease called anterograde amnesia. Sunita decides to investigate things by herself. She came to know Sanjay loses his memory within 15 mintues and doesn’t remember anything after that. He uses photographs, notes and tattoos on his body to remember things and his only mission is to avenge the death of his lover Kalpana (Asin).  He starts killing people in a systematic manner to reach to his final target Ghajini whom he remembers his lover Kalpana’s last words. Ghajini (Pradeep Rawat) is a reputed industrialist of the city.

Police inspector named Arjun who was investigating the case of these murders tried to track down Sanjay and finally finds him and knocked him unconscious. He discovered two diaries from Sanjay’s home and finally in those diaries it was his past. Movie went in the flashback where Sanjay was the chairman of Air voice mobile company. He after a certain events came across a girl name Kalpana who is working in a small advertisement agency. First she used Sanjay name just for fun with her seeing that she will be given more importance by her advertisement agency but Sanjay after seeing her innocence and honesty doesn’t say anything to him and meets her with a new name called Sachin and later on falls in love with her. At the New Years Eve he proposed to Kalpana and Kalpana asks Sachin to wait for her reply next morning and the first diary ends there. Soon Sanjay woke up and and Arjun asks him that what happened the next day. Sanjay attacks him and ties in the cabinet. Sunita arrives there and sees that the door was open and went in there. Rescues the inspector but soon sees Sanjay there went out of there. Sunita in that hurry has taken both the diaries of Sanjay from his flat.

Sunita came to know that Sanjay will kill Ghajini and went to Ghajini and warns him that Sanjay is the man is trying to kill him. Ghajini also came to remember about Sanjay Singhania. Ghajini and his men went into Sanjay flats and destroyed all maps, snaps and notes in that flat so that he should not be able to recover his memory of killing him at all. At night, Sunita starts reading Sanjay’s second diary. She came to know that Kalpana has accepted Sanjay’s love proposal. Sanjay due to some emergency meeting has to go abroad so he tells Kalpana as Sachin a different story. Kalpana too has to go on an assignment but when she was travelling in train she find 25 children were trafficking and saved them and finds that Ghajini is the master. Ghajini came to know about this broke into Kalpana’s home. Kalpana too came to know about this that Ghajini and his men will try to kill her. Suddenly Sanjay too came there but Kalpana asks him to go from there. Later Ghajini hurts Kalpana very badly. Sanjay too came back to see Kalpana as he believes something is wrong. Ghajini hits Sanjay on his head very badly with an iron Rod and in his presence kills Kalpana by hitting her with iron rod again and again. Kalpana during her dying moments said “Ghajini” in Sanjay’s ears.

Now Sunita has been aware of truth of Sanjay went to the hospital where he was kept and told whole story to him. Being in rage after listening to Sunita asks Sunita to help him in tracking down Ghajini and rest he will take care himself. Both of them tracked Ghajini and Sanjay starts fighting Ghajini’s henchmen with full force and full strength. When he was able to pin Ghajini down he suddenly forgets his memory and forgets who Ghajini is. Seeing this as an opportunity he stabs Sanjay from behind. Later he hits Sunita with iron rod and taunts Sanjay that he will make him re-experience Kalpana’s death again by killing Sunita. Sanjay overpowers everything his pain, memory and takes down Ghajini and in the kills him the very same way he killed Kalpana.

In the end, Sanjay was in an Orphanage where Sunita came their giving him a gift and footprints of Sanjay and Kalpana to make their bonding again. Sanjay sees Kalpana at his side and Finally Sanjay finds peace.

Review: A good remake made by A.R.Murugadoss of his own Tamil movie of the same name Ghajini. Most of the remakes of the movies are not that much effective and good this time it’s an altogether a different story. Performance of Aamir khan was all together at a different level. Asin making Bollywood debut makes it with ease and comfort. Performance of Jiah Khan and Pradeep Rawat were also good. Music and songs of the movie were great and so can be said for some of the action sequences. Most of the movie was almost the same as Tamil remake of Ghajini whom Murugadoss has directed previously so in this he hasn’t made any new creativity. Also the core idea has been taken from English movie Memento. As a whole, movie is very good to watch full of entertainment, thriller with a mind blowing performance of Aamir Khan and Asin.

Arundhati

Name: Arundhati

Synopsis: Arundhati (Anushka Shetty) who is the great granddaughter of the King of Gadwal, Mahasamsthan visits her native village before her marriage. Arundhati is the first female child born in the family after her great grandmother. Her grandfather treats Arundhati with full respects and accepts her wishes fully. While around the village she receives a call from her fiancé Rahul that he is in Fort of Gandwal wanted her to come to the fort to meet him. When Arundhati came to the fort she faces a lot of horror and got scared. A man outside the fort told her she has to get out here as quickly as possible as it is not safe for her. When she came home in the village she came to know the whole story from her aged maid servant Chandramma around the story of Jejjamma(Anushka Shetty) who is the same look alike as her great granddaughter. Chandramma tells Arundhati about the story of Jejjamma which is not having a happy ending. Jejjamma was expert in painting, dancing and fighting skills. She had an elder sister which was married to a person called Pashupati (Sonu Sood) who likes woman, wants to rape them and who ever objects to him, he kills her. When Jejjamma was young, she saw that her blind teacher was raped by Pashupati and killed her. She order that Pashupati should be beaten to death but her father fears that this will further make her sister’s life worse so he ordered not to obeyed that order. But chaos did happen in the fort and seeing all this Jejjamma’s elder sister commit suicide. Hearing Jejjamma’s eleder sister death people were furious and angry and thrashed Pashupati, tied him to the horse and got so much injured that people believed that Pashupati is dead but he was saved by Aghoris (people performing dark arts). After few years he back to the village to have his revenge.

He tries to use Aghoris power to kill innocent people which usually Aghoris don’t do and enter the fort on the marriage day of Jejjamma. Seeing Jejjamma now a young teen Pashupati asks her to dance and make him feel good. Jejjamma starts dancing but performed a special dance which was full of martial arts which her dead teacher taught her and that took Pashupati by surprise and cuts his tongue and pins his hands and later a chandelier fell on him making him completely unmovable. She wants to kill Pashupati but her priest tell her not kill otherwise he will become evil spirit and will haunt everyone. She buried him alive in that fort where he was injured and made a tomb around that with mantras (spells) inscribed on that which will contain him there for the rest of the life. After making the tomb Jejjamma goes to Aghoris for help. They tell her that Pashupati can’t be killed by her as of now in her life and she has to die for that she will be born again and at that time she will able to kill him. When Jejjamma will die through her bones a Dagger will be made with chant of the Mantras inscribed on it and only through that dagger he will be called once it for all. After a this revelation a person who has recently lost his wife hears her sound in mind and being possessed comes in the fort and breaks the tomb which results in freeing of Pashupati’s evil spirit. Anwar (Sayaji Shinde) tells Arundhati that she is the reincarnation of Jejjamma and has to fight Pashupati. She also came to know that there was a dagger made by Jejjamma bones which could kill Pashupati forever. Mean while Rahul received a distress call from Arundhati and immediately came to meet her but he meet Pashupati. Arundhati seeing this went to save Rahul in the room but Pashupati was there alone and stabs Arundhati from behind. He injured her.

 After being recovered she sends her family away from village and goes to Anwar’s place. Both of them went to find that dagger but Anwar meet with the accident and Arundhati have to go back without dagger to the fort to give herself to Pashupati so rest of family members could be saved. Anwar somehow survives the accident and was told by the priest that the Dagger should be first soaked with her blood and only after that Pashupati can be killed. Arundhati in the fort tries some efforts to kill Pashupati but all in vain. Anwar reaches the fort with that dagger with him. Pashupati seeing this tries to kill Anwar and somehow killed and Anwar wasn’t able to tell Arundhati the secret of Dagger. In the end when seeing no way out and escape the shame of rape and killed by Pashupati and redeem her honor she kills herself with the dagger but the moment dagger soaked her blood it went flashing light which boosted her morale and finally she kills Pashupati finally.

Review: It’s a Tollywood movie full of mind blowing performance of Anushka Shetty and Sonu Sood. This type of movie is seen after a very long time full of haunting, thrills and the story fully commendable. Direction of the movie was awesome and so do was the screenplay and cinematography. Dialogue delivery was very good. But the performance of Anushka Shetty in movie was somewhat to the other levels, absolutely brilliant and same could be said for Sonu Sood. The movie has some scenes which will make you thrilled and chilled upto a large extent. Anushka Shetty here shows that movies made on women based (that is focus of the movie is mostly the actress) can be very successful. Movie most of the time didn’t go side tracked even once hold the audience together for all the time which was very good. What makes this movie a great one is all the segments of the movie were damn good starts from Direction, story, cinematography to the special effects in the movie and the performances of Anushka, everything was at its level best which makes movie all together a great movie and “Arundhati” has all that which it a great and a must watch for everyone.

Insidious: Chapter 2

Synopsis: In the late 1980’s when Josh was still a kid, he is having the ability of astral projection where Josh as a kid having trouble with the old lady in black dress. Elise at that time with the help of another person named Carl helping her in that case. Young Josh told Elise about the whereabouts of the problem haunting him. Elsie with young Josh’s signal reached their but having some infection of her hand suddenly went out of there and told that problem is big enough. Elsie told Lorraine that the best thing for him to make him forget his astral projection abilities. Now in the present time, Police detective is questioning Renai (Rose Byrne) that is Josh’s wife about the death of Elise in her house. Josh was freed on the bail from Police custody. Soon after, Renai starts hearing some strange events again in the house which they were living now. As when Renai was in her bed piano starts playing itself on its own, footsteps voices but no one was there. Renai suspects Josh for all the mysterious happenings but Josh told her that he has stay calm and everything will be okay. Lorraine also saw a mysterious white woman in their home and tries to follow her but suddenly seeing that woman she got very scared. Josh suddenly meet her and told her that there is nothing to be afraid and he doesn’t want his family to again get upset. Renai too saw the same mysterious woman which Lorraine saw and tries to follow her but sooner that woman slapped her so hard that it knocked Renai unconscious.

Desperate for help Lorraine went to Elsie colleagues Specs and Tucker and asks them to help her that what is going wrong. As Elsie is gone now so Lorraine called Carl for help them in this case. He attempts to contact Elsie through dices. Elsie through told them that it’s the mother who killed and she wanted to kill them all as well. Also she told “Angel” when asked where to find her. Which Lorraine remembered that it’s the hospital where she used to work at before? When they went there they find the files of patient Parker Crane, a patient in ICU which committed jumping off the roof many years ago. All four of them then go to Parker Crane’s home hoping to find some clue’s over there. In Parker’s home, they found some clue’s as well as some memories of him being as a girl. The found the room where people were murdered and were kept as such also the black gown and veil and a statue as well as some clipping of the newspaper written on the murders of the people. Carl through his ability came to know that it was Parker Crane in the black gown of the lady which committed the murders and his mother forced him to do so. All of them somehow escaped from there.

Renai when was about to enter in the her own home was stopped by Lorraine and told her to go away from here as Josh was still inside the home and her kids her being left at her friend. Lorraine told Renai that it’s not the house which is having the problem but it’s Josh who is the problem here that he is possessed by the soul of Parker Crane which came in when he tries to rescue Josh during astral Projection and the real Josh is still trapped in the Further. Carl attempts to take down Josh who is now possessed by Parker by a Drug to be put in him but the attempt was foiled as Josh now brought a knife with Carl came to know through dices. Specs and Tucker came to his aide but Josh possessed by Parker took all of three knocked out. When Lorraine and Renai came back, Josh started to behave differently which both Lorraine and Renai came to know that its Parker crane now. Josh attacked both of them. He locked Lorraine in the closet and tried to choke Renai to death but Dalton knocked him on his head which gives time for Renai, Dalton and Foster to escape from there and all three of them went to basement. In the Basement, Dalton asks Renai to let him go to the Further where he could find real Josh and will get back with real Josh. Renai allows that. Dalton with a tin can telephone ties with him and sleeps to go to Further.

On other side, real Josh and Carl meet each other and tried to find Elsie in their previous mansion. When real Josh fighting with a soul in the further in Lambert’s mansion and he was having trouble to overcome that evil soul, Elise came there and meet both Carl and Josh. They suddenly went to Parker’s home and to the memories of him where his mother was abusing him that his name is not Parker and he is not a boy and his name is Merilyn and he is a girl. Mother of Parker notices all of three and pushes away from there. Josh suddenly finds some bodies standing there and one of them was Parker’s mother which attacks Josh. Also the possessed Josh breaks into basement and was about to kill Dalton who was in Further. As Parker’s mother was about to kill real Josh, Elise came there and starts hitting her with rocking horse chair and killed her. Dalton meets the three of them and assisted Carl and Josh to escape from there with the help of the string of the tin can telephone. In the present world, Josh collapsed and regained conscious and told them he is the real one now. Carl hypnotized Josh and Dalton so that they forget their astral projection abilities and lead a normal life. Next scene came as Specs and Tucker rang a bell of house and speaks to the parents of the daughter for whom they want help. Elise walks into the home and wants to talk to the daughter Allison to tell her what’s going on in here. Some noises and a shadow behind the girl came up and Elise shocking said “Oh my God”.

Review: As Insidious part 1 gains a lot of acknowledgement from people around the world a lot was expected from this part and it delivered to the expectations pretty well. It’s the same as creaky noises, footsteps and door banging noises which will raise the thrills in the movie pretty and have some scenes which will damn scare to the fullest specially of the mother slapping and saying “Don’t you Dare”. Performance was almost decent one by almost all the characters of the movie. Direction as usual of James Wan was brilliant and so can be said for the screenplay of the movie. A little disappointment could be said in the story part. The story part which raised so many standards in the 1st part of Insidious goes down a little bit in this part. Overall James Wan has re-engineered a new type of thrill and horror in the film industry which is very fun to watch out. A good movie and a must watch for everyone.

A Few Good Men

Name: A Few Good Men

Synopsis: It starts with the way that two U.S. marines are being charged for killing the fellow marine. Lance Corporal Harold Dawson and PFC Louden Downey are charged with the murdering a fellow marine named PFC William Santiago at Guantanamo Bay Naval base in Cuba which is under command of Col. Nathan R. Jessup (Jack Nicholson). Santiago was not able to compete with the training of Navy as compared to his fellow marines and was not able to earn respect of others. Santiago went outside the chain of command and went to superiors directly asking a transfer from that base and in due for exchange information about how Dawson fired an illegal shot at his opposite Cuban counterpart. When Jessup came to know this information through their superiors, he called a meeting between Lt. Col. Markinson and Lt. Kendrick which is Santiago’s commanding officer. Meeting turned into a heated argument as Markinson was in favor of transferring Santiago but Jessup ordered Kendrick that Santiago will not be transferred from base and it is now Kendrick’s responsibility to train him otherwise he will deal with Kendrick in his own way. Later Dawson and Downey were arrested for charges of murder. Naval Investigator and Lawyer Lt. Com. Joanne Galloway (Demi Moore) think that it is a “Code Red” case and request her superiors that let her deal with this case But the case of given to Lt. Daniel Kaffee (Tom Cruise) another Naval officer and Lt. Sam Weinberg to assist him. During the initial stages Kaffee and Joanne didn’t went along well but later on they went with each other for the case very well.

Kaffee tried to strike an out of court deal with the prosecution captain Jack Ross but Dawson and Downey didn’t approved as they tell Kaffee that it was Kendrick who gave them order to give Santiago a code red even though in the meeting with other men of the company Kendrick order them not to touch Santiago at all. As the case precedes Kaffee who was defending Dawson and Downey starts proving in the court that his clients were given a code red by his superiors but they suffered a major setback when Jack prosecuted them and Downey admitted that he wasn’t there when Kendrick ordered them to give code red. Meanwhile on other side, Lt Col. Markinson told Kaffee that Santiago was never to be transferred from the base and it was orders given directly by Col. Jessup. On the day when Kaffee and his team suffered the setback of Downey concealment of such information, Joanne asks Kaffee to use Markinson’s testimony as their defense but Kaffee told them that he also had committed suicide and Kaffee was in a pure drunkard state and cursing himself why he fought this case. Joanne asks Kaffee to call Jessup in the court and make him say that he was the one who ordered code red. Kaffee initially didn’t accept this request as he will directly be court martialled for making elegations on such a high rank officer but later on agrees to do so. Jessup was called in the court to be prosecuted by Kaffee. Initially Jessup outsmarted Kaffee’s every question and make a joke out of Kaffee’s questions but Kaffee finds loop hole in his testimony where Jessup said that Santiago was transferred from the base for his own safety but Santiago was not to be touched by the other members of the platoon then why he has said earlier that Santiago’s life was in danger. As Jessup couldn’t handle the pressure given by Kaffee on this point of his own testimony, he finally agreed that it was him who ordered Kendrick to give Santiago a code red which under his understanding a right decision as to national interest and security at right hands which led to arrest of Col. Jessup. The court cleared the charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder on Dawson and Downey but found guilty of “conduct unbecoming” a U.S. marine and will be dishonorably discharged. Downey asks that Jessup accepts himself that he was the one who ordered court red and they did nothing wrong but Dawson told him that they were suppose to fight for Santiago who couldn’t fight for themselves. When Dawson was about to leave the court, Kaffee told Dawson that he doesn’t need a patch on his arm to have honor and in response to that Dawson Salutes Kaffee.

Review: One of the very good films of Tom Cruise. Story of the movie was brilliant. Tom Cruise performance in the movie was with full of energy and enthusiasm. Rest of the cast performance was also very good. Movie holds its story line together all the time. The seriousness shown in the movie regarding the developments happened in the movie by Rob was very appreciable. Movie contains good amount of thrills and mystery that will make u sit till the end. No doubt first half of the movie was little slow and stretchy to but it was very well compensated by the second half of the movie. As a whole, the movie is very well made with a very good script, brilliant and energetic performance by Tom cruise and is full of thrills and mystery.

Madras Cafe

Name: Madras Cafe

Synopsis: A group of armed men stopped a bus and killed all the people travelling in that. A man just woke up just from sleep in a room in Kasauli. He then goes to church in the drunken state and talks to the father of that church. Father asks him that if he wants to say something then tell him all to which he started to tell the whole story about his past. He tells that he was there when the civil war in Sri Lanka was at its darkest phase as the war going on between a major group and minority group of Tamils. He tells how a group named LTF is formed under the leadership of Anna Bhaskaran who stood against the Sri Lankan forces for rights of Tamil’s and this led to start of war and Violence. Indian PM seeing this dangerous civil war wants to intervene and signs a peace accord and during the provincial council election to go peacefully wants to send a peace force in that area but Anna refused to accept this peace accord. Peace force tried capture Anna but Anna escaped as he already know their plan of action and war starts between Anna’s LTF and peace force. To make the provincial council elections a success India sends Major Vikram Singh (John Abraham) of Indian Army for a special covert operation in Jaffna by Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) India’s special Intelligence Agency to make the provincial council elections in Sri Lanka a success. On his way to enter Jaffna, he meets Jaya Shani (Nargis Fakhri) a reporter who was writing a peace column of refuges of the civil war in Sri Lanka.  Vikram meets Bala Krishnan as told by Vikram Superiors in Indian camp at Jaffna. Bala gives him briefing about how weak Anna and makes him surrender which will lessen its hold their. Vikram with a clue meets Sri of TPA who once was with Anna. He tells Sri that India recognizes his TPA and wants him to Counter LTF to which Sri asks him that he needs heavy arms for the same and Vikram accepted it. Jaya interviews Anna and came to know that he is in contact with some foreign alliances.

On the day of the arms deal to took place to Sri as promised by Vikram, on port arms do landed but somehow it was not given to Sri but send to Anna and when Vikram see something fishy in the deal on the port, he checked but were fired heavily from Anna’s men on other side and Vikram lost of his men. Bala was very angry with Vikram’s action and when Vikram told him that there is some leak in the process of deal, Bala told him to go Colombo and remain there till he is not called back. Vikram tries to investigate on how the deal leaked and got a clue from Jaya Sahni. He soon was abducted by LTF but soon a task force was send by India to get him out of LTF’s custody and they recovered him from them. Vikram’s boss meet him at Colombo where he told him that there was a leak among us and asks his permission to meet Mallaya to make him on his side. Mallaya meets Robin Dutt (RD) head of RAW as told by Vikram. RD told him that peace forces will eventually take down Anna at some point sooner or later but what after that. It is necessary to have peaceful elections in the island and he wants to get rights of Tamils, Anna has to be taken down. Peace force was sent to take down Anna while Vikram was sent to Kerala Base and ordered to stay there. After the attack in media it came down to everyone news that Anna was killed and Mallaya has taken over LTF. But Anna was alive as he managed to escape during the peace force attack on him.  Anna sees this become more ferocious and aggressive and killed both and Mallaya and Sri. Hearing the news of Anna is still alive, Prime Minister of India resigned and new government brought back the peace force. After sometime Madras desk of Intelligence coded some intercepts. SP an employee of madras desk gave these intercepts to Bala Krishnan the head of the base and showed concerns of the intercepts but Bala show much seriousness as shown by SP. Soon SP took some files and intercepts and disappeared from that base to much Bala got scared. SP asked Vikram that he had some confidential information that can be shared only with meeting him personally and Vikram agreed.

When Vikram came back after meeting with SP, he sees his wife is being shot and eventually he died. RD condolences with Vikram and asks him to stay focus on the mission. Vikram tracked Basu (Bala junior officer) and asked her what he knows about Bala and his plans. He told Vikram that everything he knows like, he was following orders, Bala talked to guy named Reed about the intercepts and many other things especially Bala was the one who ordered him that Vikram and SP should be killed. Vikram asks Jaya for help from his sources to have evidence as he to nab the leak down. In Bangkok, Vikram meets her source and he tells him each and every detail that who meet whom, where the meeting took place, who are persons involved and what might be the consequences of this meeting may be.That Source also give evidence that Bala was honey trapped to submit to deals of foreigners. Meanwhile, intercepts send by Vikram to RD has been decoded and LTF is going to assassinate the Ex-PM of India. Bala came to know that his cover is blown and shot himself. Vikram and his team with full force start the operation to stop this assassination. He came to know from investigation that there are 6 teams for different cities each comprises of at max 5 members. Also came to know there is a person name Kanda who is the local who is link to Anna and helped the LTF members to come at Madras and help them with their needs and assistance for the mission. Vikram and his team were moving in closer to track the LTF members and a free lancer bomb maker who told them that he had made plastic bomb that can’t be detected with metal detectors. Ex-PM arrives for a rally’s in South and Vikram told that LTF members will strike at 10:00 PM rally. RD tells Ex-PM that there is threat to his security so that he should cancel his today’s meetings but Ex-PM didn’t bother much and moved with his schedule. When he was going on the stage to address the people for the rally a woman was shouting to garland the him and he said yes. The moment she put garland on Ex-PM around him, she triggered the bomb and explosion took place resulting in killing of Ex-PM and many other present there. Vikram to got injured but couldn,t save him. India as well other nation went in deep shock as Ex-PM was killed by a human bomb. RD as thinking being he responsible for not able to save him resigned from the job of intelligence head and Vikram took a voluntary retirement from army. At last Vikram cursed himself that he was late in saving his ex-PM and assassination got as in planned by LTF. He sends some documents and text related to Jaffna and this tragedy to Jaya.

Review: Such movies are rarely seen in Bollywood with real and sensitive issue. Film was extensively researched and well organized. The cinematography of the movie is excellent. Although movie tried to call the story with fictional names but the plot remains the same as the assassination of Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi and everyone knows that. The movie was mostly focused of John Abraham. His performance in the movie was good and so can be said for Nargis Fakhri. Rest of the crew also did a fair enough job. The story moved with a good pace all along. The movie has been close to the reality of war and shows how the modern warfare tactics used in today’s world. The director didn’t add any masala type elements and strictly stick to the core of the movie which is very appreciable. As a whole Remarkable and commendable work done by Shoojit Sircar and a must watch movie for everyone.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa

Synopsis: Badri is head of a Brahmin family. Their ancestral palace is believed to be hounded by a ghost named Manjulika, a Bengali classical dancer. Siddharth (Shiney Ahuja) and Avni (Vidya Balan) who is Siddharth’s wife and also the son of Badri’s elder brother came from America to live there for some time as to complete company’s project over there. Badri insisted Siddharth to live with them but Siddharth said that they had already laid their luggage in that ancestral palace. Siddharth was later crowned as the king of the throne of that place as he was the rightful owner. After some days, Avni sees a big lock on a room in the palace. She asked why the room is locked but everyone told her to stay away from this room as it contains ghost of Manjulika. Avni being curious opened the lock of that room. Soon some unnatural events begin to take place in that palace. Avni came to know about the story of Manjulika and begins to sympathize with her. Badri and Batuk approach a high renowned priest of the village named Yagyaprakash Bharti but came to know that he has gone to London for some work and his followers are not sure when will he return. Siddharth starts suspecting Radha for causing such strange and unnatural events and asks Badri that is Radha is suffering from some psychological disease. He calls his friend Dr. Aditya Srivastva (Akshay Kumar) who is a psychiatrist, so that he can check whether Radha is normal or not.

In the beginning when Aditya reached Siddharth’s home, everyone was thinking him a fool but in reality he is one of renowned psychiatrist. Aditya soon realizes that Radha is perfectly normal and the reason for the strange events happening in the palace is someone else. One night, he hears some sounds coming from a room whose lock was previously opened by Avni and checked the room. He encounters Manjulika’s voice through the closed door. The voice of Manjulika told him that she will going to take her revenge on Durgaashtami, a very sacred day in Hindu mythology. Aditya locks Radha in a room saying that she is the reason for all the strange occurrences in the palace. On the engagement day of Nandini who is Siddharth’s cousin and Sharad Pradhan, everyone was enjoying and partying. Suddenly Aditya asks Siddharth to find Avni and soon, saw a struggle was going on between Avni and Sharad. Siddharth thinks that Sharad was trying to force Avni with her and starts beating him. Later on, Aditya reveals Siddharth that it is Avni who’s suffering from a disease is called Dissociative Identity Disorder, where she believes herself as some other person and she is the one responsible to for strange happening in the palace. He reveals that when he realizes that Avni was suffering from DID disease, he went to her hometown to gather information about her and has told Siddharth the facts about her. He asks Siddharth to stop Avni from going out and he himself will come to know that something is wrong with her. As told by Aditya, Siddharth stops Avni to go outside today and hearing that Avni being possessed as Manjulika warns Siddharth. She this side of Avni, Siddharth got worried and asks Aditya to save her at all costs. He also told Siddharth about Manjulika past. As Avni came to know about the story she deeply influenced with her and has sympathy for her and slowly she becomes possessed by her.

On the day of Durgashtami, Avni was fully possessed by Manjulika dances with Sharad as for love Shashidhar in the past. She tries to kill Siddharth as she (Manjulika possessed) thinks that he is the Vibhuti Narayan in the past who killed her lover. To cure Avni with help of Priest Yagyaprakash Bharti, Aditya plans to have a ritual in which he will let Avni (Manjulika possessed) had her revenge of Siddharth (whe she thinks is Vibhuti Narayan) and after killing him Manjulika should let Avni free. At the moment she tries to stick the killing blow on Siddharth, Aditya changes it with a dummy. Seeing Siddharth killed in possessed state Avni falls down. Later, Avni is healed and cured. All ends well and everyone was happy. Aditya asks Radha that he will like to marry her. He asks Badri that he has asked some question to some and if the answer is yes, just let him know.

Review: One of the very good movies made by Priyadarshan. Story of the movie was very unique and creative although it is more or less same as Chandramukhi movie of the southern legend actor Rajnikant. Akshay Kumar performed the role with full charisma and conviction. Vidya Balan’s performance in the movie was also brilliant and so does the rest of the cast’s performance. Music of the movie is very good as well as the songs of the movie. Movie contains full of thrills and comedy given by Akshay Kumar gives an edge to that. It holds its audience together all the time and the movie goes on at a good pace. It’s a typical psychological thriller with some good comedy in it and it’s a must watch.

Resident Evil: Retribution

Synopsis: Fleet of airships attacked Arcadia on which Alice, Claire and the rest of the survivors were there. The attack was lead by Jill Valentine who was one of the former allies of Alice but now during the attack she didn’t remember anything as a spider like device is attached to her chest which has brainwashed her. Alice was able to crash one of the airships and due to that a bog explosion happened which knocks down Alice. Next scene came as a house who looks alike as Alice is living with her husband Todd with their daughter Becky who is deaf in a suburban area. Some Zombies attack them in their home. As both Alice and Becky escapes from their house and runs on the streets, they were rescued by a girl who same as Rain (Michelle Rodriguez). When they were escaping through the car, their car hit by a truck which resulting in knocking out of Rain. Alice and Becky escapes from there. It is shown as the whole city is now same look alike as Raccoon city during the zombie attack. Soon Alice was killed by zombie turned Todd. After some time, Alice awakes and finds herself being held captive by Umbrella. Alice tries to escape from cell in which she was kept. As she tries to escape she went into the chambers she sees herself in Shibuya Square, Tokyo. As she fights herself from the zombies from Tokyo, she was able to return to the Umbrella’s facility. As she moved ahead in the facility, she meets Ada Wong one of the top agents of Albert Wesker.

Albert Wesker appears on the screen and tells Alice that the Red Queen was reactivated after the Hive contamination by the Umbrella is now controlling the whole systems of Umbrella Corporation. Ada tells Alice that the facility is underwater located in Kamchatka, Russia as this base was used to show the effects of T-virus on the clones which were also manufactured here and it is the only way to the base from the land. To provide help to Alice and Ada so that they can escape, Wesker has arranged a group of men for their help comprising Leon S Kennedy, Barry Burton and Luther West. The group will plant bombs at the entrance of base which will detonate in two hours which will ensure that the base has to be destroyed at any cost. Alice and Ada enters the New York simulation created by Red Queen. They defeated two axeman and rest of the zombies in that simulation. Leon and others enters the Moscow simulation and deals with the newly breed zombies. Alice and Ada enters the Suburban simulation and waits to meets Leon and the others as originally planned by them. In that simulation, they meet Becky which treats real Alice as her mother in the suburban area. Ada tells her that Umbrella uses clones for virus breakout simulations and what she sees here is clones. The group was attacked by Jill and her men which includes clones of Rain who was one of the previous ally of Alice, Carlos and James the leader of SWAT group which Alice meet at the entrance of Hive. Alice and Becky runs from their and meets Rain (the good one) which is on their side and enters Moscow’s simulation which they meet Leon and rest of the group. Alice traced Lickers present their while Leon and others starts gun fight with Jill and her men. They make their way through the zombies and reached the elevator. Soon Lickers killed Becky and Rain (Good version). After Alice rescues Becky both of them reached the cloning facility where they see their multiple clones. As Alice sees Lickers following them through the facility, she drops grenades resulting in explosion in the facility. The bombs planted at the entrance facility also starts exploding now. Luther and Leon escapes through the elevator and where Alice and Becky escaped through ventilation system.

Jill and her men captured Ada and ambushed Alice and rest of the group when reached at the surface of the base. Jill starts attacking Alice. Rain (Evil Version) injects herself with some parasite which gives her superpowers which will help her in taking down the group. She starts fighting Ada, Leon and Luther. Rain kills Luther by breaking his ribs and stops his heartbeat. Leon is knocked out. Alice manages to break the spider device attached to Jill which results in Jill comes backs to her normal state. Alice on realizing that Rain can’t be killed after attempting so many times, shoot at ice which results in falling of Rain. She tries to come back but the zombies pulled her back in the water. Alice after sometime lost her passes out due to injuring and fallout of her stamina. Alice, Jill, Becky, Leon and Ada travelled to Wesker’s base staffed by STARS officers. Alice meets Wesker and soon Wesker injects her with T-Virus which will give her former powers back as she was the only person who successfully bonded with that virus. Wesker tells Alice the reason she is given back her powers is that Red Queen is trying to take control over the world and killing all humanity and who are the survivors left are present here. At the end, it is shown that Wesker’s men along side with US armed forces are defending White house against the T-virus zombies. A fight against the T-virus and red Queen has just come to a whole new level.

Review: It’s all the same as rest of the prequels of Resident Evil. Same predictable scenes with almost same type of action sequences. Milla Jovovich as usual did her level best as per her performance and some classy moves are concerned. Anderson this time tried to make a different type of story in this part which he succeeded to some extent. Story of the movie seems to be so unclear and distorted that some may think what has gone wrong with Resident Evil. Some scenes which were not at all needed in the movie were unnecessarily there. Rest of the crew’s performance was as usual decent enough. What resident evil was about actually a virus breakout with some horrifying experiences and in the end day saved by some skilled officers has now looked in the Resident Evil movie sequels as killing of zombies with some good action sequences by Milla Jovovich and nothing else.

Resident Evil: Afterlife

Synopsis: Some of the Alice (Milla Jovovich) clones attacks the umbrella facility of Japan in order to kill Albert Wesker (Shawn Roberts). Alice clones killed most of the security men of that facility but Wesker too planted an explosion in the facility which results in killing of the Alice clones. When Wesker was about to escape the facility in the aircraft, real Alice ambushed him but he injected a serum in her which will neutralize her T-virus powers. But before Wesker was able to kill Alice, the aircraft got crashed, but Alice survives that and came out alive. Six months later, Alice was travelling in an airplane following the repeating emergency broadcasts from a place called Arcadia which she believes in free from the T-Virus. During the flying of the plane, Alice suddenly sees the helicopter in which Claire and other survivors had escaped from the facility (in the prequel). She then meets Claire with a spider like device attached to her chest but Alice destroyed that, but Claire lost her memory due to that. They both were travelling back to LA to follow the repeated emergency and when they entered LA they sees a Help sign on the building and landed there. She and Claire meet some other survivors living in that building which includes Luther West, Bennett, Wendell and Kim Yong. Luther and other survivors asked Alice that are they being send by Arcadia to which she told them that Arcadia is in Alaska and they are being sent by Arcadia. Luther shows Alice a ship named Arcadia through binoculars and told them that Arcadia isn’t in Alaska but a ship As Claire and Alice meet the survivors present in that building, they also came to know that there is also another survivor named Chris Redfield who is an Umbrella Corporation is locked in the prison by the prisoners as a cruel joke and knows the way to Arcadia and ready to tell only after they will let him free but they don’t believe him and has kept him in the prison

Soon the zombies managed to enter into the tunnel through the sewers into the prison building. The giant zombie with a large blade enters into the prison as well as comes in front of the building as well. Seeing no way out, Alice frees Chris so that he could them the way out of here. After being freed, seeing Claire too he tells her that he is her brother but as Claire is under Amnesia she doesn’t remember him. Chris tells them that there is an armored vehicle and they could escape in that from the prison. One group containing Alice, Crystal and Chris went into the armory to get the guns while Luther and Claire were holding Axeman and the zombies at the gate. Seeing the engine is not there in the armored vehicle and it will takes weeks to fit that engine, Bennett cleverly shots at them and went to Arcadia ship alone leaving the rest of survivors there and flew in the Alice plane. Seeing no other alternative Alice and the rest of the group escapes through the sewers where the zombies enter the building. When Alice, Claire and Chris reach Arcadia ship, they saw the ship was fully functional but no person was there in that. As they explored the ship further, they find out that this a ship that lures the survivors of the T-virus to come in the ship so that they can have experiments on them. Claire remembers that she and the rest of the convoy was too attacked by umbrella men and taken into custody and a spider like device was attached to them but Claire managed to escape from there. As they moved further to explore the ship, Alice finds Wesker who is now too affected by T-virus and battling in for the control but couldn’t able to control the virus perfectly as Alice did. He wants to assimilate Alice to perfectly control the virus.

Claire and Chris too meet Wesker and all the three Alice, Claire and Chris starts fighting Wesker. Initially Wesker overpower all three of them but Alice defeated Wesker with the help of recovered K-Mart. Alice killed Bennett who now sided with Wesker. Wesker regenerates and tries to escape from their by boarding his plane and attempts to destroy the ship and the rest of the survivors by activating the bomb planted on the ship. As Alice anticipated his action, she planted the bomb which Wesker activated within the plane and that explodes. There was a bomb flash but after clearing smoke of bomb a parachute was seen flying in the sky. Luther on other side emerges from sewers as being shown that he has also escaped. Alice broadcasts a message for the survivors of the virus to come to Arcadia as it is a safe place and released rest of the survivors of T-virus who were being captured by Umbrella men before. A fleet of helicopters with heavily armed Umbrella troops approached Arcadia and revealed that Jill Valentine is leading that assault troop with the same spider like device attached to her chest as it was attached on Claire.

Review: In this sequel of movie, something was different than that of the some of the prequels of Resident Evil. Movie was a little precise and cut short which was good sign for the movie. Movie moves at a steady pace which also seems fine but what’s disappointing is the story part. Story seems to gone way too down for this part of the movie. It lacks originality and classiness of Resident Evil. It seems this movie lacks the core heart what Resident Evil is all about. The film seems to be made for action done by Milla Jovovvich and nothing else. No doubt performance of Milla Jovovich in this movie was also great as rest of the previous part. Some of the action sequences in the movie were good and so do was some of the special effects. So the 3D version of the movie was little affective and was good for the movie. As a whole, the movie is fair enough to watch which mainly contains some good action sequences by Milla Jovovich.

Salt

Name: Salt

Synopsis: Evelyn Salt (Angeline Jolie) being an American spy is accused of espionage is being tortured at North Korea prison. She will soon be exchanged with a North Korean prisoner by her colleague and CIA agent Ted Winter (Liev Schreiber) who escorts her during the trade. She asked why she is being traded to which Winter replied that it was Mike Krause and his persistence with the department which forces them to have an exchange for your freedom. On the wedding anniversary of Salt and Mike, a defector from Russia came to CIA’s office and telling them that he could give them some useful information. Salt beings to interrogate him with Winter and CIA officer Darryl Peabody.  He tells that his name is Oleg Orlov and tells her that during Cold war Russia has kidnapped American children and replaced them with Russian children and now is being trained to destroy America. They are called KA-12s and will come into action on Day-X where they will kill Russian president Boris Matveyev who is working as a great pace in improving relationship of Russia with US on the day of American’s Vice President Funeral. When they were about to leave Orlov told them that “Salt” is one of those KA-12s. Salt rubbishes this non sense and pleaded that she has nothing to do with it. Soon seeing argue between Winter and Darryl, she believed that she is in danger and escapes from there. Orlov too after telling all the story of KA-12s escapes from there as well. Salt tried to contact Mike but the apartment’s voice call again and again. When Salt reached apartment seeing his chair and half eaten sandwich, she understands that Mike is kidnapped by someone.

When Winter and Peabody reached Salt’s home, she managed to escape from there but Winter sees her and both Winter and Peabody starts chasing her. When Salt was almost cornered by them she jumped on a nearby passing truck and then takes a motorbike and escapes from there. She stayed at small motel in the night, plans her next step of action. After dyeing her hair and changing her identity Salt enters the funeral throws a bomb on a roof above the Russian president and kills guys from the secret service. Peabody comes to the scene and arrests Salt even though Salt can kill him but she didn’t and surrender to him. When Peabody’s men were taking Salt to Jail, Salt knocks them out and escapes from there. While taking Russian president to hospital, he was pronounced dead as he had no pulse from that period. Riots start beginning to happen in Moscow. Salt meets Orlov in a scrapping metal yard with other KA-12s agents. It is also revealed now that Orlov is the man who had trained Salt to become the sleeper agent that is KA-12s agent. She was taken to a ship which serves home for Russian spies by Orlov. In the ship, she saw Mike being taken as hostage. Orlov throws him into water to see whether she is loyal to him or not but she didn’t react which confirms her loyalty. He introduces her with fellow agents and told her that she about to meet one of their spy disguised as NATO officer who will help her in her next mission. She killed Orlov and rest of people present there and takes guns and grenades with him. She meets Shnaider who helps Salt in entering the white house as his male aide as a Czech NATO.  Shnaider attacks the CIA guards present there. Winter and other CIA personnel took US president to the underground bunker. Salt kills every person that comes in her way. Meanwhile, US president’s advisors were forcing him to use nuclear attack on Russia to teach them a lesson as Salt is here to kill him but president didn’t permit to launch the attack. Winter kills everyone present there except the President and introduces him as a Russian named Nikolai. He knocks the president out and aims to fire missiles on Mecca, Saudi Arabia, Tehran and Iran so that after the missile fallout they will unite and take action against US.

Salt reached the bunker and told that she also want to join him in destroying US but seeing the reports that Russian President is still alive as he was only being temporarily paralytic. He didn’t let her in the glass coated room and told her that she will be the one behind saving Russian president by giving venom of the spiders of Mike. He didn’t trust after her return from North Korea. He tells that he knew from the beginning that she had fallen in love with Mike and he was the one who asked Orlov to kidnap Mike and kill him. Hearing this, Salt come in range and after some desperate attempts enters the room. Salt and Winter starts fighting but when the missile activation was almost complete Salt pulls the plug of the computer and cancels the missile strike but during that got shot by Secret Service men. When both Winter and Salt were escorted out, as being handcuffed Salt wrapped her handcuffs around Winter’s neck and jumps in balcony resulting in killing him. Peabody took Salt to take her to FBI. In the chopper he asked Salt why did she kill her why she killed Winter to which she replied someone has too. Salt convinces Peabody that she was the good guy and Winter was the bad one. She convinces him that she will take out rest of the remaining KA sleeper agents as they took everything away from her. Somehow being convinced by her Peabody let her escape through the river.

          

Review: One of the damn good spying types of movie which is full of action and thriller. Angelina Jolie proved that why she is one of the best action movie performers in Hollywood. Angelina performance is the movie absolute brilliant. Movie contains some mind bowling stunts and actions sequences which will make you thrilled at the fullest. Story of the movie was very unique and creative and in addition to that the pace and focus given on the story of the movie was damn good. Noyce remained to his strengths of his direction in this movie too. Every actor of the crew performed his or her role with full conviction. Spy aspects of movie were shown very well in the movie with some brilliant stunts and long chases. The movie just looked like a Bond type of movie where Angelina and Noyce made it an absolute thriller with jam packed action. A must watch movie.
