Synopsis: Ed. and Lorraine Warren are well known paranormal investigators initially investigated a house where a doll was causing the people living in the house trouble. They seek both Ed and Lorraine help. Both of them with help of Priest blessed the home and the people lived happy their afterwards. Meanwhile Roger and Carolyn with their 5 children shifted into a farmhouse (which they had bought at bank auction) in Harrisville, Rhode Island. Everything goes smoothly in the beginning except the fact that Sadie their dog didn’t come in the house and the very next day the dog was found dead. After that many paranormal disturbances started to occur like beginning to hear the claps of someone in the cabinet as well as in the cellar.  All clocks in the farmhouse stop exactly at 3:07 in the morning. Carloyn see some mysterious bruises on her body etc. Seeing this Carolyn being worried for her family contacted Ed. and Lorraine Warren the paranormal investigators and requested them to take a look into their house. On Carolyn request both of them visited the house and after some investigation told both Roger and Carolyn that their house needs an exorcism and for that they had to take the authorization of the Church and for that they had to gather the evidence. When both of them start researching about the home, they found that the farmhouse was originally belonged to Jedson Sherman who married to a lady called Bethsheba who tried to sacrifice their baby when he was 7 days old. She at that moment went outside, proclaimed her love to satan, hung herself and cursed anyone who tried to take her land. Now in order get evidence Ed and Lorraine made a set up. In the night Cindy Started sleepwalks and went into andrea’s room where there was a secret passage in the wardrobe. Lorraine goes through that found and sees some more spirits are there. Perron family sees this take his family to a hotel and mean while Ed. and Lorraine after gaining the evidence goes to meet the priest of the church. On their way home, Ed. and Lorraine own daughter was attacked by the Bathsheba spirit. Meanwhile Roger found out that Carolyn has taken two of his daughters April and Christine back to their farmhouse. Ed., Lorraine, Roger and their assistant went back to the Farmhouse where they merely save Christine from being stabbed by Carolyn. After seeing that there is no way to save Carolyn from Bethsheba Spirit, Ed. decided to perform exorcism by him and help from Lorraine in distracting possessed Carolyn, She reminded Carolyn of a special memory which Carolyn had with her family, Ed. was able to perform the exorcism thus saving both Carolyn and her daughter. When everything was over they finally received the message that the church has authorized to perform the exorcism.

Review: It’s a Hollywood movie basically a Supernatural horror movie. The direction of James Wan is very good. The movie focuses on Supernatural Paranormal investigation done by both Ed. and Lorraine. Acting done by Patrick Wilson and Vera Fermiga is also good. Some of the horror scenes are very horrifying. Not at any point it looks like that the movie has out of story track on which it has been made and it holds its audience together in the whole movie. Overall a very good horror movie to be watched after quite some time.
