Synopsis: A captain in Indian Army named Jagdish (Vijay) returned from Kashmir to Mumbai. When he arrived, his parents force him to see a girl name Nisha (Kajal Aggarwal). On the day when they were meeting each other, Jagdish starts to make excuses which include that she is old fashioned just to avoid marriage.Nisha on other hand was a college boxer who is completely modern. Soon Jagdish realizes that and falls in love with her which Nisha also reciprocates very well. One day they saw a bus explode in which Jagdish and his police officer friend Balaji was travelling. He soon captures the man and soon came to know that he was merely an executor who has planted the bomb. Later he also came to know that an Islamic group called Harkat-Ul-Jihad al-Islam has also planned various such attacks within the city in couple of days. With the help of his fellow Army men and Balaji, he manages to prevent the Bombs from being detonate and kills the brother of Sleeper cell leader and his other terrorists. Soon leader of the sleeper cell (Vidyut Jamwal) came to know that due to Jagdish role their plans have failed of terrorist attack. He tries to take revenge by targeting his family or someone close to him. When Jagdish came to know about his plan he substitutes his own sister in the people to be kidnapped. He used his pet dog and his sisters dupatta he managed to reach the terrorist hideout, saves his sister and other victims who was about to be killed and kills the terrorists. Second in Command, Asif Ali was captured during the fight in the terrorist hideout and was killed by Jagdish. Seeing this, being in fury he called Jagdish to surrender himself to him or he will carry out    more terrorist attacks. Jagdish tries to sacrifice his life but makes a plan with his fellow Army men. Jagdish meets the leader in a ship in which bomb was already planted by Jagdish’s fellow men. Soon Jagdish came to know about the leader plan to kills Jagdish army men as terrorist and knowing about a terrorist called Kameeruddin in Indian Defence. Jagdish fights with the leader of sleeper cell, escapes with him in a boat. After the Bomb explodes in ship he kills the leader. In the Kameeruddin commits suicide and Jagdish and his fellow Army men returned to Kashmir.

Review: It is a Tamil movie full of Action, Thriller and mind blowing Dialogues. The movie is full of mind games and smart plans made by Vijay. Performance of Vijay was emphatic and direction Murugadoss was also at its best. Kajal Aggarwal and Vidyut Jamwal were also at par though Kajal Aggarwal was role wasn’t that much in the movie but Vijay brings immense energy and Charisma in his character in the movie. A person who is a fan of Vijay it’s a must watch movie for him. Thuppaki overall an action packed thriller.
